Honey Bee Events officially opened in the summer of 2024, initially focusing on organizing venue tours and establishing valuable vendor partnerships. My primary aim was to successfully book couples for the upcoming year of 2025, with my very first wedding scheduled for the season of Spring 2025. I was so thrilled when I received an inquiry from Julie and Henry regarding planning their wedding ceremony to take place somewhere on Vilano Beach on November 24, 2024.
I firmly believe that every ceremony should be uniquely tailored to reflect the distinct personality and love of the couple. I make it a priority to listen attentively to the bride and groom’s wishes and preferences, ensuring that I don’t try to make their special moment conform to a common pattern or standard template. Each celebration should genuinely represent their journey together.
Julie and Henry requested site locations in Vilano Beach that I can recommend. Knowing the area well has greatly assisted me in creating the “best fit” list of beaches that are not only visually stunning but also easy for their guests to access, including those who may have physical limitations. As a planner who tends to be an “Over Thinker,” I carefully consider all possible factors to ensure a seamless experience for everyone involved.
Julie and Henry made the decision to forgo the ceremony rehearsal, which I actually LOVED! The result was a ceremony that felt incredibly natural and fluid, with everyone involved displaying such genuine and authentic emotions. It truly made the occasion more memorable and special for everyone present.

Their wedding party was an extra special and significant piece to this beautiful ceremony. The couple was joyfully joined by their Son and Daughter, who stood proudly by their side as they shared their heartfelt repeat after me vows. They were guided through this meaningful moment with the support and assistance of their best friend and Officiant, Chad Ray, who helped make the occasion truly memorable.
Their guests were serenaded by the talented local musician and guitarist, Jim Johnston. There is something particularly romantic listening to live music while enjoying the serene beauty of the beach. Jim played guitar and sang a thoughtful selection of songs tailored for the couple’s special day. He provided a list of song choices to ensure they had a wide variety to choose from and even expressed his willingness to learn a special song that Julie had in mind for her walk down the aisle, making the moment even more personal and memorable.
Shelbi Ann of Shelbi Ann Imagery skillfully captured each moment with absolute perfection. Her talented and trained eye for intricate detail and beautifully balanced lighting was nothing short of pure artistry, elevating every image to a new level of visual impact.

She is not a planner who will produce a 'cookie cutter' event; rather she works closely with her clients to personalize their special occasions.
